What is a T1 Line Carrier "T1"

A high-speed communications line, sometimes called T-1 Line carrier, originally developed to carry multiple conversations over standard twisted-pair phone wiring. Currently, T1 provides digital communications and Internet access at the rate of 1.54 Mbps.
